This month has been a real leap forward for JCRS. All theatres - Palace (Newark), Playhouse (Weston), Castle (Wellingborough) and Malvern Forum were all amazing. Malvern had over six hundred people in the audience and the atmosphere was incredible - you could really feel it. This is home turf for Clive so it was great to see so many familiar faces there. The children from Sytchampton School choir helped to make the evening even more special by singing the Acorns song 'Make The Most Of Every Day' with the band. The CD single always sells well at shows and all the money taken goes to this wonderful charity.
Welshpool festival was also great fun even though the band had to be there for 7am sound check!

Crackin' night at Solihull! Audience were lovely and there were many 100% JC fans in the seats. Clive's own songs were also appreciated and we sold out of the Acorns CD's! The technical team were also very professional and this was greatly appreciated by Clive and the band. We also found a great boozer afterarwds - the Masons Arms.
We look forward to a return visit.

Well as expected, it was a great night at the Courtyard in Hereford on Friday night to an appreciative audience. Clive and the band signed many Cd's, posters, etc and had lots of photo's taken with fans at the merchandise area.
Our new June Cartyer (Jill) has been accepted perfectly by the audience and you will be seeing lots more of her at future shows. (Updated photo's will be on site soon.)
The band has been busy all week recording in Monmouth the forthcoming album 'The Spirit'. Producer John David is a fabulous experienced man in the music industry and regularly works with artists such as Shakin' Stevens, Dave Edmunds, Mark Knofler, Status Quo and many more. Clive and the band are honoured to be working with John.
Last week was a long and hard but productive week and the Courtyard was a perfect end to it.
Next show - Solihull here we come!

Hi everyone,
sorry for for lack of updates recently - life is hectic! All the shows are going really well and a comment that we regularly hear from people is 'I'm not a Johnny Cash fan - but I really enjoyed that' - usually comes from husbands/wives that have been dragged along by their partner!
JCRS are really busy at mo planning things for the future. As you can see by 'forthcoming shows' page we are busy in the autumn this year. 2010 is really the first year that JCRS has surged forward. Clive John is now manager/promoter of the show.
Exciting Things Coming :
We are looking forward to Clive's new solo album 'The Spirit' coming out later this year (launch date Friday 17th September at Huntingdon Hall). This is his first solo album in nearly four years. There are plans to also make a brand new JCRS CD and DVD with all the new band members.
Ireland Tour :
A mini tour of Ireland will take place in spring 2011

Welcome To The Band
We would like to introduce two new fantastic performers to the Johnny Cash Roadshow lineup for 2010; Alan Parker on Double Bass and James Elliot-Williams on Drums.
Alan started playing the accordion and guitar at 12 years of age, the Bass at 14 and joined his first band at 15, since then he has been playing in Blues, Rock and Country bands in pubs, universities and festivals all over England and Scotland.
Being an experienced musician Alan has featured on various band albums over the years and still contiues to work on recording sessions alongside his live performances.
James has played drums and percussion for over 20 years and has performed with a great many bands and artists. From theatre pit work to heavy rock, performing on television shows, festivals, stadiums, theatres and everywhere else in between as well as recording on a number of song releases. James has toured extensively across Europe and the UK.
Recent work has seen James playing percussion on an album & gigs with a northern soul band and recordingtwo EP’s for a signed indie act. In the 1990’s James was signed to a London based publishing company (Gabra Music) and received a number of writing credit
s.
James has worked with Clive on a number of occasions over the last 15 years and the opportunity to perform together playing the music of Johnny Cash is one that James is delighted to have.
The JCRS website has now been updated, along with the Press Pack section for everything you need to know about who we are and what we do.
The 2010 lineup for the Johnny Cash Roadshow tribute band is Clive John, Nick Davis, Alan Parker, and James Elliot-Williams.
Welcome to the band guys!
